It’s been several months since I blogged. I keep trying to make time to blog, even if only for myself, but time has been a difficult commodity to obtain of late.
Christmas time has come and gone. As has my 23rd birthday. My birthday is such a depressing time. I hate the day after Christmas. Knowing that there are 364 more days before the next Christmas. Knowing that good food, wonderful music, greenery, cinnamon and gloves, and all the trees and decorations are gone for a year depresses me.
This year Courtney and I celebrated Christmas together in my apartment. The first Christmas on my own! (Even though I went home Christmas Eve and stayed through the 28th). My landlord forbids real Christmas trees OR any electrical Christmas lights. I probably broke the rules by purchasing and using the fiber-optic tree (seen below). I also bought a small ornamental tree–that probably broke the rules, too.
As always, I was spoiled rotten on Christmas. Too many gifts, too much food.
